MCT’s Quality System was originally established using MIL-P-55110. Today, as a member of the IPC, we build and certify our products to a variety of IPC standards and specifications such as 6012A & 6018A. At least half of our current production is certified to IPC Class 3.

Our Quality System is complete, thorough and well defined in our Quality Manual, a controlled document. We practice continuous improvement, monitor defects and non-conformance, specify corrective actions and review all of these at monthly measurement meetings with our Executive Management Team. We also flow down MCT quality requirements to our subcontractors and suppliers, monitor their performance and request corrective actions when defects occur.

MCT has a sound Configuration Management system that controls/reviews part number and revision level prior to release, during the build and once again prior to shipment. We maintain Engineering Control of manufacturing processes and production travelers that determine how products are built. MCT production travelers are highly detailed and include part number, revision level, manufacturing lot number and specifically sequenced, individual operations. As products are built, our travelers capture both the date and the individual operator performing each of the specified operations.

Our equipment, measurement and inspection devices are calibration controlled. We have an exhaustive sampling plan in place for all critical product quality parameters including cross sections for plated thru hole quality and XRF measurements for gold plating thickness. Detailed records of each build lot are kept on file to provide material lot traceability.

We are intimately familiar with the requirements of IPC 6012A & 6018A, perform monthly quality conformance monitoring and in many cases are providing certification checklists, cross sections and coupons to customers with each build lot. In fact, we routinely build a series of high Q filter circuits for a customer who requires serialized coupons from each panel of 12 serialized circuits to aid in adjusting the filters for the normal variations inherent in the dielectric material.

We are also engaged in programs that require source inspection and regularly pass muster for our products, quality system and facility. Our Quality Manager coordinates all source inspections as well as any customer communications regarding quality issues.
